A Voice for All Citizens:

ü      Established Open Door Policy to all administrative city offices

ü      Held Town Hall meetings for awareness and input from local residents and businesses

ü      Created “Senior Mayor for a Day” and Mayor’s Youth Advisory Group to involve seniors and youth in city government

ü      Established pro-active professional relationships with key community leaders to bring progress to Thibodaux

ü      Participation in Student Government Day and Job Shadowing Day for youth to experience government operations

ü      Participation with local schools in reading programs and events

ü      Improved relationships with local schools, community colleges, technical colleges and Nicholls State University – one of Thibodaux’s greatest resources

ü      Upheld executive duties as Mayor in accordance with City Charter and the separation of Legislative and Executive branches

ü      Hired qualified professionals as department directors

ü      Maintained sound Financial Accountability of city’s budget with unqualified city audited financial statements

ü      Instituted internal controls policies and procedures

ü      Secured grants for over $29 million from federal/state/local resources allowing taxpayer’s fund balance in city budget to annually increase while providing highest quality services to residents
