Approval for grant funds exceeding $29 million dollars through federal, state, and local funding sources.  These funds were utilized to plan and complete numerous project improvements to benefit the citizens and businesses throughout the city.  Many of these projects are listed below:

Ö       North Canal Boulevard (LA Hwy. 20) Widening to 3 lanes

Ö       Created new roadway (Glenwild Drive Ext.) from Canal Boulevard to St. Patrick Rd. to improve traffic flow and create economic development opportunities for businesses and residential growth

Ö       Completed engineering design for the Canal Blvd. Bridge Pedestrian Walkway and Bridge Enhancement project to be completed in 2011
