  • Son of the late Elaine and Lucien “Boonie” Caillouet

  • Second oldest of eight children

  • Married to the former Gretchen Pfeffer, one daughter, Lara Caillouet Daigle, one granddaughter, Lucienne “Lucie” Daigle

  • Catholic – St. Joseph’s Co-Cathedral and St. Thomas Aquinas churches

       

EDUCATION:

  • Graduated in 1966 from Thibodaux Central Catholic High School (now E.D. White High School)
  • Graduated in 1970 from Nicholls State University with a degree in history
  • Graduated in 1973 from Loyola University School of Law, where I was on the Loyola Law Review
  • Graduate of the 2007 Leadership Louisiana class
  • Graduate of the 2008 Leadership Lafourche class

WORK EXPERIENCE: 

  • After graduation from Loyola University School of Law, I then served our country for the next 3 ˝  years in the United States Navy as an officer in the Jag Corps receiving an Honorable Discharge at the rank of Lt. Commander

  • Began practice of law in Thibodaux in 1977

  • Served 2 ˝ years as the City Prosecutor for the Thibodaux City Court

  • Mayor of the City of Thibodaux since December 1998, during which time I have honored my commitment to the citizens of Thibodaux by maintaining and improving the utility systems of the city, working to improve traffic congestion, providing a safe community in which to live, work and raise a family, and creating the proper environment for present and future economic development while providing steady positive, professional and businesslike leadership.
